Penn State School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Alumni Society
The Penn State School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) Alumni Society is actively looking for additional volunteer board members, including a new president of that group. The group recruits alumni mentoring for EECS students, organizes tailgates and other social events, and maintains communication between the University, the PSU School of EECS, and the large PSU EECS alumni community. Participation in the PSU EECS Alumni Society Board is a great way to stay in contact with the current students, faculty, and other PSU EECS alums.
Some of their current activities include Penn State STEM programs for high school students, a branch of the nationwide “Girls Who Code” program, and a summer program for junior high students interested in coding and robotics, as well as the mentoring program for current EE, computer engineering, and computer science students.
Any Penn State Alum who majored in one of these subjects in either undergrad or graduate school would be eligible. It would be ideal for Atlanta Chapter members who are EECS alums and also are parents of current Penn State engineering students. Anyone with an interest in the EECS Alumni Association board should contact Tammy Falls, the School of EECS Alumni and Events Coordinator.
